Style Sample

Style Sample, a magazine about independent fashion bloggers, features a section called One Question, Three Bloggers.  In Style Sample’s current issue, I’m one of the three bloggers!  The question asked was “Which celebrity’s wardrobe would you want to raid?”  You can read my response by viewing their online publication here.  You have to flip to the ninth page or so to find me.

They initially asked two questions and selected one response to be featured in the current issue.  You can read my unabridged responses to both questions here.

One Question, Three Bloggers

These are my unabridged responses to Style Sample magazine’s article, One Question, Three Bloggers.  You can check out the entire issue here.

1.    Which celebrity’s wardrobe would you want to raid?

I’m sure my answer would change with each season.  Styles change, fashion trends emerge and celebrities adapt their style as they grow with age.  Recently, I’ve had my fashion eye on Nicole Richie.  Her style is often referred to as bohemian chic, but I like to think of her wardrobe as glowing and girly.  I love how she pairs pieces from her own jewelry collection, House of Harlow, with long flowing gowns.  My favorite look she wore of late was a strapless peach number from her Winter Kate clothing line that she wore to the Glamour awards.  Glowing and girly at its finest!

2.    Describe the pivotal moment that solidified your love for fashion.

Fashion began when I let the sails loose and disregarded what I was told to like by fashion magazines.  It began on the cusp of my twenties that I started to truly appreciate styles as opposite as the earth’s poles.  I began to marry party-girl pieces from my younger years with professional jackets and such that I’ve added more recently.  I love that fashion is interpreted differently by everyone.  To me, it means wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat or carrying a parasol on a sunny day, pairing a tube top with cowboy boots or wearing a shift dress with a bold belt all the while carrying a sassy clutch and strutting around in a pair of sky-high heels.  Fashion makes me feel alive because it’s whatever I create it to be!
